About Us

We are Ryan and Kate and our two amazing children, Mary and Jackson. (Plus, the amazing Orinda, Mary's service dog) We LOVE to travel and explore this beautiful country in our accessible RV and see all that God has created. Our daughter, Mary, has Spinal Muscular Atrophy and uses a power wheelchair for all her mobility, but she NEVER lets anything get in her way of following her dreams. Our family is dedicated to finding the best wheelchair accessible activities and hope we will be able to inspire others.
We started Navigating With The Nelsons with the goal of inspiring other wheelchair users to travel in a way that’s both thrilling and meaningful.
